The festival story

How it went

Making together Shared exploration Flexible participation

The winter build-party invitation asked members to add their own winter-themed creations to an icy part of Second Haven. The resulting setting included a timber lodge, snowy surroundings, and a marked route for ice-boat play.

The recordings take us from the lodge entrance into its book-lined rooms, with players exploring together and joining a snowball hide-and-seek game. The mix of gathering spaces and playful activities gave the season several different ways to spend time together.

The invitation included building resources and a shared seasonal theme. Working in the same area gives people opportunities to exchange ideas and contribute something that others can return to.

The lodge’s rooms, bookshelves, and gathering spots offered an alternative pace to the outdoor games. A welcoming place to linger supports participation that can be quiet or conversational.
